September wishlist, ñam ñam.

Como todo el universo sabe, septiembre está aquí (desde hace ya unos cuantos días) y con él viene el inicio del otoño, de los atardeceres más bonitos, de los colores anaranjados y marrones, de las hojas secas, y por supuesto, los frutos secos, ñam.

Like everybody know, September is here (since days ago) and with it, it comes the beginning of the Autumn, of the most beautiful sunsets, of the orange and brown colours, of the fallen leaves, and of course, nuts, yum.

En este post cortito, vengo a enseñaros mi wishlist para esta temporada. Como podréis ver es pequeña, pero es porque se trata de las cosas que realmente me gustaría (chiflaría) tener, además de que no tengo mucho presupuesto ahora mismo.

In this little post, I want to show you my wishlist for this season. As you can see it’s little but it’s because they are the things I really would like (love) to have, furthermore, I don’t have much money right now.

Lo primero primerísimo es ese vestido-peto de Topshop, de verdad, que si digo que me tiene enamorada me quedo corta. Tiene un color precioso, y una forma que combina con mil estilos. Fue amor a primera vista. En segundo lugar, esos oxfords plateados de Zara son sencillamente perfectos. Ya me quedé con ganas de los dorados de la pasada temporada, pero por falta de dinero y de todo en general no me los compré, y espero que esta vez no pase lo mismo.

Luego, por otro lado, de Zara también, está esa bolsito pequeño. Llevo tiempo con ganas de un bolso blanco pequeñito y ese me parece que tiene la forma perfecta y que le puede dar un toque muy interesante a los total black looks, o algo así. 

Después, ese colgante de Urban Outfitters me parece tan bonito, tan “élfico”, tan askldjeadjkaefk, ay, no sé, me chifla. Y por último, por un lado está la película de Palo Alto; en realidad tengo ochenta mil películas en mi wishlist, pero tengo muchas ganas de tener ésta en DVD (si queréis saber de la peli pulsa aquí). Y por otro lado, el pintalabios Diva de MAC (aunque en la foto se ve más claro), llevo siglos queriendo tenerlo y creo que HA LLEGADO EL MOMENTO. Es que ese color es sencillamente maravilloso. Y más allá de estas cosas mi wishlist se basa en dormir.

On first place, super-very-first-place, we’ve got this cord burgundy pinafore dress from Topshop. Really, I could say that I’ve fallen in love with this dress but it wouldn’t be enough. It has that beautiful color and shape that combines with a thousand styles. It was love at first sight.  Second, those silver oxfords shoes from Zara are simply perfect. I was looking forward to the golden ones from last season, but for lack of money and everything in general I didn’t buy them and I hope that this time doesn’t happen the same thing.

Then, on the other hand, also from Zara, we’ve got that small bag. I took time looking forward to a tiny white bag and that seems to have the perfect shape and I think you can give a very interesting touch to the total black looks, you know.

Also, we’ve got that Urban Outfitters pendant which looks so beautiful, so "elvish", so askldjeadjkaefk, aw, I don’t know, it’s just perfect. And finally, on the one hand we’ve got that film, “Palo Alto” ; actually I have eighty thousand movies on my wishlist, but I really want to have this one on DVD (if you want to know about the movie click here). On the other hand, the Diva lipstick from MAC (although in the picture it seems clearer), I’ve always wanted it and I think IT’S TIME. It is that color is just wonderful. And beyond these things my wishlist is based on sleep.

Octubre, simplicidad, Dostoyevski, jerséis.

Queridos míos, los sueños me afectan profundamente (aunque imagino que os pasará lo mismo a la mayoría de vosotros...). A veces pienso: "Clara, ignóralos, ¡sólo son sueños!" (y los sueños, sueños son). Pero, ¿no se supone que los crea nuestro subconsciente? El subconsciente, “sub”: lo más profundo, es decir, nosotros. ¿Qué estoy diciendo? Quiero decir, ¿cómo se puede ignorar un sueño? ¿Por qué no ignorar esta realidad más que incluso la onírica? Bueno, cállate Clara.

Hiya my lovelies! Dreams affect me deeply (although I imagine that happens to most of you...). Sometimes I think, "Clara, ignore them, they're just dreams" (and dreams, dreams are). But aren't dreams supposed to be created by our subconscious? The subconscious, "sub": the deepest, that is to say, us. What am I saying? I mean, how can you ignore a dream? Why not ignore this reality even more than the oneiric one? Well, shut up Clara.

No quería hablar en esta entrada sobre los sueños, ni ponerme filosófica-freudiana-blablá. En realidad, simplemente quería enseñaros un outfit de la semana pasada, y remarco el adverbio simplemente, puesto que pocas cosas son más sencillas que el conjunto que os voy a enseñar: primero coges unos vaqueros pitillo normales y les añades un poquito de un crop-top blanco de manga larga, calzas los pies con tus oxfords negros más clásicos y, a continuación, le echas un poquito de un cinturón, y todo eso mezclado con un doctor bag lleno de apuntes y cosas. Y voilà, así sale un riquísimo outfit para la universidad/instituto/trabajo. Yo, además, llevaba en la mano dos libros: uno de la facultad y el otro Apuntes del subsuelo de Dostoyevski, pero eso no es parte del outfit, sino parte de “no más peso para mi pobre espalda torturada”.

I didn’t want to talk about dreams in this post or get too philosophical-Freudian-blahblah. Actually, I simply wanted to show you an outfit from last week, and I use the adverb simply because there are a few things simpler than the outfit that I'll show you: first pick a pair of normal skinny jeans, then, add a little bit of a white long-sleeved crop-top; put your classic black oxfords on your feet; then take a little bit of a belt and mix all that with a doctor bag full of University notes and things, and voilà! We have a delicious outfit to go to uni/college/school/work. I also was carrying two books: one of them is from the University and the other one is Notes from the Underground by Dostoyevsky, but that isn't part of the outfit, just part of "no more weight for my poor tortured back."

Por cierto, recomiendo Apuntes del subsuelo de Dostoyevski a todos los que les guste la corriente filosófica del existencialismo, la literatura, Dostoyevski en sí, y Rusia, y todo. Este verano me leí el majestuoso libro Los hermanos Karamázov y, aunque después traté de leer otra cosa para variar un poco de Dostoyevski, al final, tras un par de libros, he vuelto a caer. Vivo como obsesionada con él o algo así, es como mi novio-muerto-ludópata-literario.

By the way, I recommend Notes from the Underground by Dostoyevsky to everyone who likes Existentialism, literature, Dostoyevsky himself, and Russia, and all of that. Well, this summer I read the majestic book The brothers Karamazov and, even after reading it, I tried to read a different thing just for a change but, in the end, after a couple of books, I've fallen again, and I’m reading this Dostoyevski’s book. I live obsessed with him or something, he’s kind of my literary-gambler-dead-boyfriend.

Y bueno, ya estamos en octubre, y cual ser humano del sistema capitalista que soy, tengo una lista de deseos de cosas con las que me gustaría hacerme este mes *cruzando los dedos para conseguirlo*. La primera es este precioso-adorable-bonito jersey de Zara, de estilo “vintage” (según pone en la página: “jersey vintage ski”) y rojo (tú dame color rojo, yo haré el resto). Por otro lado, quiero hacerme con esa novela, ñam ñam, Te llevaré conmigo de Niccolò Ammaniti: “Ischiano Scalo, un pueblecito de cuatro casas junto a una marisma llena de mosquitos, es el escenario en que se desarrollan dos tormentosas historias de amor. Una trama que atrapa por completo al lector.” 

La tercera cosa en mi wishlist son las castañas, porque octubre (aquí en España) significa, ante todo, comer castañas por la calle. Y realmente mentiría si dijese que no quiero mil cosas más, pero si pienso en las que de verdad quiero son esas. Dicho esto, me despido.

So, we're finally in October and, as the human being from the capitalist system I am, I've a wishlist of things that I'd like to get this month *fingers crossed*. The first one is that lovely lovely lovely Zara sweater with kind of a "vintage" style (as shown on the page: "vintage ski sweater") and perfect red colour (you gimme red, I'll do the rest). On the other hand, I want to get this novel, yum yum, I'll take you with me by Niccolò Ammaniti : "Ischiano Scalo, a tiny village of four houses next to a swamp full of mosquitoes, is the scenario where two stormy love stories unfold. A plot that grabs on the reader.”

The third thing on my wishlist are chestnuts, because October (here in Spain) means eating chestnuts on the street. And, really, I'd be lying if I said I don’t want a thousand things more, but if I think of those which I really want then I'd take those. After saying that, I say goodbye!

gingering back: wishlist.

Feliz domingo. Tras unas tres semanas o dos, o no sé cuantas exactamente, he encontrado un rato realmente libre. Mi estado de estrés supera límites insospechables, y eso que aún me quedan  varios meses de clases, ay, ayuda, podría decir que ahora mi casa es la biblioteca. Entre mi estado catatónico diario por la falta de sueño y por la sobredosis de conocimientos adquiridos en cada asignatura, podría decirse que hice un pequeño viaje a Bilbao para presentar en un congreso de ciencia, mi proyecto de astrofísica junto con algunos compañeros, buaf, fue una experiencia realmente única, por otro lado, mi mayor tiempo libre ha sido dedicado a ver películas, y ya está porque lalalalala, viva la vida vegetal estudiantil.

Happy Sunday. After almost three weeks or two, or I don’t know how many exactly, I have kind of free time to upload my blog. My state of stress exceeds the unknown limits, and the worst thing it’s that there is still several months until we finish the classes, oh, help, I could say that now my house is the library. Among my daily catatonic lack of sleep and overdose of knowledge acquired in each subject, I could say I made a little trip to Bilbao to present at a conference of science, my project of astrophysics with other colleagues , aw, it has been a unique experience, on the other hand, my free time has been more dedicated to the movies, and that's because lalalalala, hurrah the student living plant life!

Bueno, y cambiando de tema, en este post os quería enseñar mi wishlist actual de Zara collection. En realidad es que hay demasiadas cosas de demasiadas tiendas que quiero, pero claro, el bolsillo no me lo permite, así como el tiempo para ir a comprarlo. Sin embargo, he decidido seleccionar tan solo estas tres cosas de zara que me tienen loca perdida. Para comenzar, esas zapatillas de estilo deportivo con colores, ay, es que estoy enamorada. Creo que tengo una gran afición a mezclar cosas sport con cosas arregladas, me parece una idea genial y con una influencia como ochentera, benditos años ochenta. En segundo lugar tenemos esos mocasines, de color marrón rojizo, súper colegiales,  y con una suela anchilla, adorables.  Después, esas gafas de sol las he encontrado de casualidad en la página web y ha sido como OH LA LA très chic, las quiero. Y por último, y el mayor de todos mis caprichos, esa bufanda, la cual debería llamar La bufanda por excelencia, en la foto no se aprecia bien, pero seguro que si habéis ido a Zara habéis observado lo grande que es, y suave y lo mejor esa mezcla de estampados tan british, en serio, es absolutamente perfecta para el frío invernal.  Y aquí os dejo, que ahora me toca un rato de Marty McFly, con Regreso al futuro II.

Well, changing the subject, in this post I wanted to show my current wishlist of Zara collection. Actually, there are too many things from too many stores that I want, but of course, my pocket won’t let me to buy them, as well as the time to go shopping. However, I decided to select only four things from Zara which are turning me mad. To begin, these sneakers with a lot of different colors, gosh, I'm in love. I think I have a great liking to mix sport clothes with formal clothes, I think it’s a great idea with a little influenced of the 80’s, bless the 80’s . Second place, these moccasins with a reddish brown color, super school-style, and with a wide sole, adorable. Then, those sunglasses I have found by chance on the website and it was like OH LA LA très chic, love it. And finally, and the thing I wish the most, that scarf , which should be called The Scarf quintessential , you can’t appreciate it very well in the picture , but sure if you have gone to Zara you have seen how big and soft it is, and with that mixture of British prints, seriously, is absolutely perfect for the winter cold. And here I leave you cause I have a date with Marty McFly, in Back to the future II.

"I need to speak with someone. Not just someone, you."

 

Queridos míos, he estado una semana más o menos aislada de internet, porque necesitaba un descanso de todo el mundo digital, etc. ya sabéis.. Bueno, pero aquí vuelvo, ya estamos en Noviembre, de hecho llevamos ya 11 días de noviembre (HOY ES EL 11 DEL 11, que guay, vale, sí, ya me callo) ¡y a mi calendario de Van Gogh le toca el cuadro de Starry Night! Adoro esa pintura, es es es es es es sencillamente perfecta. Bueno,  el caso es que esta semana ha sido de las de estudiar y estudiar, hacer deberes, ver películas, leer, beber té, y estudiar. Y además he logrado hacerme con dos de las cosas de mi wishlist, unos jeggins florales de zara, y un jersey oversize normal negro (además de un montón de calcetines, y calcetines, y más calcetines).            

                                                           

Hey ya!, I have been a week isolated from the Internet, because I needed a break from the digital world, etc. you know... Anyway, here I am, we are in November, in fact there was 11 days since November began (today is the 11/11, that's so cool! okay, yep, I'll shut up) and now, my Van Gogh calendar has the the painting: Starry Night! I love that picture, it is is is is is is just perfect. Well, the fact, is that this week I've been studying, studying, studying, doing homework, watching films, reading, drinking tea, and studying. And I have bought two of the things from my wishlist, a floral jeggins (Zara), and an normal oversize black sweater (and lot of socks, and socks, and more socks).

Una de las películas que he visto  ha sido la de “Siempre el mismo día” (One day), llevaba mucho tiempo queriendo verla, ya que sale mi amada Edinburgh, y el otro día la pusieron en la tele, y bueno, la verdad es que me encantó, lo que más el argumento porque el desarrollo de la película en sí, puede resultar un poco pesado, pero aún así me gusto mucho, y además me encantó el vestuario, tanto del chico como el de la chica (una Anne Hathaway, que hace de Emma, una chica con aires ochenteros y noventeros muy vintages). 

One of the films I've seen this week it's "One Day", I wanted to watch it since long time ago (because part of the scenery is my dear Edinburgh), and the other day I watched it on TV, and well, the truth is that  I loved it, especially the argument because the development of the film can being a little annoying, but anyway, I liked it so much, and I also loved the costumes, both, the boy and the girl's (an Anne Hathaway (Emma) with 80's and 90's vintage clothes). 

Además, para completar la semana, ayer  me compré una edición del libro de “Alicia en el país de las maravillas” en la que te vienen poemas y otro cuento de Lewis Carroll, y también me compré “El Maravilloso Mago de Oz”, y es que era el útlimo día de la fería de libros de ocasión y aproveché ya que estaban baratísimos.  

In addition, to complete the week, yesterday I bought an edition  of "Alice in Wonderland" where apart from the story, there are poems and other Lewis Carroll tale, and I also bought "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" because it was the last day of the book second-hand convention, and they cost very cheap!
