Manías de vuelta.

Queridos míos,
Sencillamente no sé cómo empezar.

Hey ya my lovelies,
Simply, I don't know how to start. I guess everything goes back to some months ago when I decided to take a look of my blog and I read a comment (from Raquel, so thanks Raquel) which said just something like “Come back, Claire”. I admit that I wanted to post again since time ago, but I don't like taking the blog like something that comes and goes, so, this all thing about coming back stopped me a bit and also not to know if maybe in a future I give up again (I don't hope so).

Sometime, I wonder what this entire thing is about, if there is really someone out there who feels inspired in some moment by any of the things I post here. And I finish giving up, because of that and because running out of time and thinking about this thing actually isn't worthwhile. However, suddenly you find that kind of comment, and then you think that it's enough with one only person who reads you and who wants to keep reading you to make all this thing have more sense.

And after this entire bore, so, yep, I come back and I (don't) promise (at all) not to go. And to start I don't know what exactly show you because everything I've planned is for other posts which are coming, so, this one is going to be a (very) little potpourri of photos which have inspired me these last months (I don't own any of them).

And that's all, see you (very) soon.

Hiya my lovelies, you already know how much I love cinema, so here comes Annoying Clara again to comment about some movies I've seen lately, both from 2013 (originally, I was going to talk about more, but then I decided I'd only talk about two because I tend to go on and on and on). Remember, I'm not a film critic and this is just my amateur cinephile compulsive opinion so, please, don’t throw tomatoes at me! (DO IT, I'm hungry).

The Coppola have rarely failed me (although some of their movies can be annoying). This time I'd like to speak about Palo Alto, a film by Gia Coppola. Well, first, I think the movie is something like the result of adding a bit of Skins to a documentary about teenagers, plus the "coppolistic" touch of The Virgin Suicides to the image; all of this properly fused, and voilà, we have the film! Let's also add a brilliant soundtrack, the kind of songs that you listen to and think "I’m going to turn off the light and dance!" (with neon lights and a slow nod). Personally, I liked it a lot. It isn’t an excellent movie, but it has "something". I suppose it's the cineography which I'm crazy about, and also that I've fallen in love with one of the main characters (Teddy) who even appears in a wolf costume like my beloved Max from Where the Wild Things Are. I also think the film is natural, frivolous (no, that's not the word) and portrays teenagers quite well (there aren’t actors who are playing teenagers at 30, and I think that influences a lot)... It represents the life of adolescent teens really well in general. I don’t even think the movie has a protagonist! It was supposed to be April (Emma Roberts) but each character has a certain importance that describes an attitude, a personality, and thus becomes essential. Well, I'll stop talking now - I'm getting repellent! I just want to say that, in my opinion, it’s a good debut for Gia Coppola.

On the other hand, How I live now, a Kevin Macdonald movie which I can only define as "weird", but not in a "weird and beautiful movie that make you say OH" way, just weird because it mixes several different things and it's like, BANG BANG, what is this!? The plot is set in the midst of a third world war in the immediate future, but, despite that, what really matters in the film is that it's supposed to be the love story between the protagonist and a guy who is her cousin (HER COUSIN). Also, the main character annoys me. Seriously. I think she’s nasty, mean, I don't know what’s going on with her. During the film there's a voice-over who seems to chase the girl (and other people) and, in the beginning, it appears that the voice is coming from a past that the protagonist has suffered, and I thought that maybe it was that, but things aren't clear at all...

Anyway, the children who appear in the movie are adorable, as are the wonderful English landscapes, and the photography is pretty interesting (some scenes reminded me of Wes Anderson's style). There are also some slightly violent images that break the mould of the movie, and, in a way, it's okay, but I don’t know... In the end, everything seems a bit mediocre. I read somewhere someone saying that the end "seems an excuse to let us know why the film has the name it has" and that's absolutely right. I won't tell you the end, neither the plot, because, despite not being very good, I found it entertaining, especially for teenagers. I haven't seen The Hunger Games, but perhaps it's a bit like this. Translation: watch it and love the little redhead girl and the boy with the glasses who looks like Wendy's brother from Peter Pan. C’est tout.

Poppies, films, and a lot of beautiful pictures: Tumblr, a source of inspiration.

(Can poppies be even more beautiful?) Hello my lovelies, you already know that the Monster of 2º Bachillerato (last year of High School in Spain) has me like his prisoner in the highest tower in the world, and as much as I let my hair falling down through the balcony, no prince called Freedom comes to rescue me, I guess it’s because I don’t have a long hair such as Rapunzel’s hair. So, being prisoner in this No-Freedom-Tower, I can’t take pictures of my outfits or my walks.  That’s why on this post I want to show you one of my biggest sources of inspiration: Tumblr. I suppose you already know it, and some of you will like it or some of you will hate it. Personally, I love it. On one hand, because of Tumblr I’ve discovered some of my favourites films, and you know that cinema make me lose my mind. On the other hand, I always find inspiring photos about fashion, series, quotes, and other pictures that simply make me smile. So, I decided to open the Archive of my Tumblr and pick up some of the last photos I’ve “reblogged” , to show you. Here we go (warning: there is maybe too much photos but I swear that I’ve tried to choose just some of my favourites)

Well, as I said before and as I always say, and as you know too well: I love cinema. When I saw the first picture with the phrase "Good movies make your life better " it was like, aw , how right it is . I think there are 39482342 unique feelings for us, one of them it’s when you finish watching a good film. The truth is that with any movie, you do not stay indifferent when you’ve just watched it, but when you see a really good movie, it seems like times stop and you don’t know how to continue with your life in the next seconds. Ok, yep, it sounds a bit exaggerated, but that happens to me all the time.

The other picture is a scene from a movie which I haven’t seen yet. Jean -Luc Godard, the director of the film, is great and is a member of the
nouvelle vague, so the film must be good. The thing is that I fall in love with that quote when I read it for the first time: "Are you in a film or in reality?" I actually don’t know what is it but that quote has something. I guess I feel very identified by the fact sometimes I almost can’t distinguish if I’m living in reality – cinema – dreams - blabla . Well, I think it is something that happens to everyone when we go into our personal cloud.

Dormir.

La otra, sencillamente me parece preciosa. Esas manos me tienen enamorada.

I guess this first picture don't inspire me but make me feel like reading what I really want. I need sleep. Sleeping without an alarm clock. Sleeping without all the stress. Sleeping and dreaming without being interrupted. Sleeping under good warm blankets and duvet necessary. Sleeping.

The other one, it's simply beautiful. Those hands make me being in love. This can sound a bit weird but I adore the scratchs or injuries: in the knuckles, in the elbow, in the knees. Those injuries which give a red tone to pale skins, are too beautiful. And the hands of that picture, make you want to put your hands over them.

Y finalmente (¡Si!

And finally, (yep! I’m going to stop making comment of every picture of Tumblr that I’m showing you, I don’t want annoying you) these two photos or better said, gifs. I don’t have so much to say about the first one, just that I loved it when I saw it because I think it’s so real and natural. And the second one reminds me to all the trips I’ve made in metro or in train, and all the cities I’ve visited. Ouch, Claire is getting nostalgic. I guess one of things I like the most in this life is the fact of looking through the window when I’m travelling on. And that's all.
