The pirates take the city.

¡FELIZ HALLOWEEN!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I hope you all have had a scary night, and WATCH OUT! There is a ginger pirate walking around your house in an attempt to find the most wanted treasure: teacups, oxfords shoes and a ticket to Edinburgh.

Well, now, coming back to reality, as you know last night it has been Halloween, and despite it is an Anglo-Saxon custom , we also celebrate it in Spain, however, usually, if you say "Trick or treat" to an old person, she/he will have no idea what you're talking about. Here, 1st November is “ El día de los difuntos” (the day of the dead people), and people hold a wake for their loved ones during the night of 31st , and then, the 1st , they bring flowers to the cemetery. I celebrate both customs, the Spanish and the Anglo-Saxon tradition, because I love dressing up, so this last night I went out with my friends and we did: trick or treat and then, we hang around, what a surprise! I I found two boys dressed like the Doctor (Doctor who), this is a weird thing in Spain, because he isn't famous, people usually don't know who is the Doctor.

Yep, guys, the pirates are taking the city, so.. be careful!

P.S.: Thanks so much my dear Leah (visit her blog!). She has made a post talking about my blog <3

  1. Lovely pictures! :) Your outfit is really great! :) And we have the same bank holiday ;) I guess it's an international one. Here in Austria it's called "Allerheiligen" (like all of the holy) and it's also popular to go the cemetry for bringing flowers to the graves ..

have a nice start in November ;)

    with love
