There are love that smell like Nenuco. And there are trips that smell like wine, like the sea, like the Lord of the Rings, like bookshops, like tiring walks, like chinese food, like alternative cinema (an alternative so alternative that it's a bit incomprehensible), like forgotten postcards found in kafkaesque second hand books, like Dolce&Gabbana's essence, like more wine, and more chinese food, like messy buns, like streets with “bread” colour, like lovely grandpas, like “ensaimada”, and like (horrible) coconut juice, and like etc, etc, and more wine.

I think that there are few earthly things more beautiful than visit a city for the third time and use the fact that you already know the most touristic things, and feeling it like feeling the visit to your grandparent's village. Now I'm talking about Barcelona. The usual, touristic, big and beautiful Barcelona.

In spite that it's even suicide try to walk by its streets in summer for those who doesn't want to feel like “another tourist” (leaving out the fact of going out with the photo camera, the guide of the city and that face of looking up to the buildings which all the tourists put, and not forward like the rest of city's residents), it's possible to evade a bit from all that people mass, even when that usual group of young and happy Italians are in every square meter of the city.

My trip went on for eleven hours in a night hotel-train seat, Granada-Barcelona. In spite of that seat seemed like it was stuck to the train machine, we could bear everything with a good “espetec”. And well, I'm not going to relate this like a diary because we wouldn't finish.

If I must be honest, the thing which turns me in love from this trip wasn't Barcelona, it was Sitges. I think is one of the most beautiful villages in the world. I could spend an entire summer there, going for a walk on the beach like any character from any Eric Röhmer's film, having that kind of conversations which just exist in French movies. In this village, the sea had a special colour, and furthermore, the day we went there was a storm (after a long time inside the water), so imagine, cloudy day plus a coast village, like to not fall in love.

Another place I love from Barcelona is San Felipe Neri square. I admit that I could spend hours seated there eating an “ensaimada”, and the end of the world would come and I would still be there. It's true that tourists walk around that place, on one hand, those tourist who find the square by chance, on the other hand, those ones who are follow their shepherd-guide like a flock of sheep. But, let's be honest, I don't know what are doing all those tourist in that square who looks more like a solitaire square where there should be just me, my “ensaimada”, Jep Gambardella, two lovers, and maybe, another lost walker.

I also recommend visiting the bunkers of Barcelona, in Carmelo quarter. Built during the Spanish Civil War, now they've turn into a viewpoint where you can see all the city of Barcelona. I'm going to be honest, I didn't like the view, I don't know if it's because of the ugly light of that day, but everything I see under my feet was grey, so grey that it looks like I was looking at the Grey Gentlemen from Momo. So, if I can choose I prefer to “gut” Barcelona among its streets, and not from the up. However, I'm sure this place must be gorgeous in the night, so don't listen to my opinion and go to visit it.

Yep, it's true, I'm running my mouth a lot. To finish I want to recommend you two places. One of them is a Chinese restaurant, perfect for a backpacker's budget. The food is awesome, homemade, traditional and with a perfect prize, and the fact that all the people who eat there where Chinese people make me feel sure about the quality of the food. The place is called “Chen Ji” in Ali Bei Street.

Another place is a bookshop. There are a few of them in Barcelona. It's called “Re-read” and it sells secondhand books (where you can find a huge variety) with an awesome prize: one book three euros, two books five euros; and five books, ten euros. Here you've got the website to more information: http://www.re-read.com/.

(And a third place: you must go to the beach in the night with a bottle of wine, cheese, “salchichón” and that's all).

Having said that, I shut up, because you don't read a city, you walk around a city.

Coming back for some (unknown) reason.

Hi ya my lovelies! Coming back, coming back, coming back. We should raise a toast to people who come back or to people who realize they miss their blog when summer is almost finished. To raise a toast or raise a cup of tea (or also to say "too late"). Anyway, I'm here and I don’t know if I'm ready to talk about fashion, or cinema, or whatever, but I'm prepared to write something while listening to "The Rip Tide" by Beirut, that makes a lot of things come to mind like bum and bam, and like bum bim bam!
I could talk about all these months, but I'm not going to... because that would be stupid. I'll start university in less than a month and I still don’t know if I'm ready to... sit in those uncomfortable chairs that the science faculty of the University of Granada has, and ready to start studying Physics? Oh, yes, in that case, I'm fully prepared (no).

Yesterday I was watching The Goonies, and thinking about how perfect Sean Austin is, one of my great platonic loves. Well, in this post I didn't want to focus on the beauty of him (when he was younger); I just couldn’t help putting a picture of him here. In this post, I wanted to show you some of the photos and outfits of a trip I made in late June to my dear England - a few days in Liverpool and London in the best company! All fused with a lot of tea in cups form, Arizona tea form, pill form, injection form (well, no, there weren’t all those tea forms); also fused with Beatles, nice old people, London streets on the night, hostel rooms with too many people, crazy bus drivers, airport nights, red box, rock'n roll, the Cavern, sexy singers Francophiles in pajamas, pre-Raphaelite paintings, Tesco, strawberry pockys, unexpected rains, and in resume: a long list of perfect things, and stuff.

My outfits? The Beatles day I chose something very "me": my bowler hat, my Peter Pan collar shirt, a Bordeaux crop-jumper, a skirt with Daisy Print (Primark), my black oxfords, white socks lace et voilà. The following days, I was basically looking for comfortable (but cute) clothes because I was going to die of tiredness. The day we went to Camden Town, I wore my floral dress from American Apparel, which is honestly one of the best purchases I've ever made in my life, since last summer I have worn it a thousand times (too comfy!). Do I wear more flowery things? Yes: a pinky flower crown that I bought right there and Candy Yum Yum (Mac) on my lips. Well, I don’t mean to be annoying, but after eight months without posting, it's getting out of hand.

The Cliffs of Moher, and those lovely cows.

One of the most important and famous places of the nature is the Cliffs of Moher in county Clare (yep, it’s my county!). However, as usual places which are natural and important, they are also excessively tourist and even commercial, yep, there were a pair of stores in the bottom of the mountain. Anyway, it was amazing and not only the place but all the landscapes you saw before arrive there, and all those cows grazing happily. Aw, I love cows. The truth is that the height of the cliffs was very impressive, and the bluest blue of the sea and the usual green of the Irish meadows were a perfect mix. Well, the fact is that this day I wore a sleeveless blouse with black and white stripes (H&M), a skirt with a semi-turquoise or blue and neon color (also from H&M) and finally, a pair of sneakers which look like Vans but which are from the Primark.
